Two ways to look at life
My blog name has become a misnomer. Every time I write a blog recently it goes into the ‘Rantings’ category. That’s hardly the rose-tinted disposition I intended my blog to be. Its become a space to rant about the political economic and social injustices facing the average person these days ; and my constant battle with the ‘professional’ world.
I initially tried to put a humorous slant on these posts. Often I start them with the intention of writing a lighthearted look at blah blah blah and then my fingers do the slamming and before I know it I’ve drafted an essay that I should be presenting as evidence at an anger management course. Along with the boxful of recently destroyed personal items that i have thrown, slammed, punched and stomped on whilst in various states of frustrated anger. Most of which results from the apathy and incompetence of the fabled ‘customer service’ department.
These days I feel customer service departments should be assigned to the pile that includes mermaids, gods, father christmas and fairy godmothers…because we’d like to believe in them , but deep down we know that they don’t actually exist!
Anyway I started looking at my recent posts on FB and Twitter to see how unhappy I have been. Not that I need further clarification… the box of broken electronic items (phone, camera, laptop) by my desk are proof enough that I have been struggling to cope with the everyday that exists this January.there were approximately a million political posts: statements of horror and incredulity about President Arsewipe of the US of A , similar in relation to the Torys and their ill-treatment of the homeless; disabled and disadvantaged; outrage at the fuck-circus that is the mismanagement of Brexit; outrage at the stories of callousness from the DWP; despair at the destruction of our planet and the way the corporations hold the governments to ransom ensuring that we will never put our planet before profit; plastic waste; icecaps melting; animal cruelty; fracking; gun violence in America; knife violence in the UK; cuts to essential services; selling off of the NHS; lies, misdirection, propaganda… the general inability to access anything remotely factual…. yep I seem like I am entrenched in the entrenched in the depths of despair by our dysfunctional society.
However, and this is where I have to thank FB and Twitter for saving me from the precipice, I discovered that so many things had made me laugh AND SMILE…. and this is exactly how I am going to convert this rant into a rose-tinted blog post. Enjoy…..

So, as I said at the beginning , I’ve been struggling to look at life and write “rose-tinted” ramblings, but whilst writing this blog, I’ve realised there are two ways to look at life and I’m going to try harder (without losing my need to protest and obstruct), to look at it more often, the second way
